Do I need a standing desk to use a Plane?

Our purpose at FluidStance is to help set the world in motion. Using a deck at a standing desk is a great way to introduce more movement into your workspace, but you can take advantage of FluidStance benefits in any environment.

Does the Plane work on carpet?

Yes. However, we do recommend using one of our base mats or a small chair mat to provide a firmer surface to optimize your flow and protect wood flooring.

How much height does a Plane add?

The Plane adds roughly 2.5 to 3 inches of height. If you have a standing workstation we recommend an adjustable desk to account for the added height. Adding raisers can also be a great way to keep your workstation at an ergonomically optimal height.

Can I stand on my wobble board all day?

For beginners, we recommend a 70:20:10 breakdown (spend 70% of your day sitting, stand on your Plane for 20% of the day, and with the remaining 10%– engage in real-life movement) and progressing toward an even balance between sitting and standing.
